What if the notification is time-sensitive?

All notifications are time-sensitive. Time, however, is not sensitive to notifications.

Can I get faster delivery?

No. We mail. USPS determines delivery time. We have no expedited option. We have considered it. We decided against it. Speed is not the point of this service.

Why would anyone subscribe to this?

The same reason people subscribe to anything: it creates a record. You will receive a physical letter confirming that you were, in fact, supposed to do the thing. What you do with that confirmation is your own business.

What if I've already moved?

Update your address. We will mail notifications to wherever you are. They will still arrive after the relevant event has passed. The address does not affect the timing.

Is this a joke?

It is a service. What you make of it is up to you.
